-Season One will be held on Monday, March 4th at 1pm EST. Same time as Season Zero
-There will be no rule changes regarding the car building process. All Season Zero rules apply.
-I will be releasing the AI line specifically for West Coast USA long circuit that was used in Season Zero. I will not be using this exact line in the future, and it will serve as a line exclusively for you guys to test your cars. I chose this line because it's the track most competitors had issues with. In fact, only 2 competitors finished West Coast Circuit without taking damage (Arafura and IDF Patrol). Theoretically, if your car can manage to get around this track, with this line, it shouldn't have much trouble with the other tracks/lines.
-You may now send your cars to me via email. You could always do this, but now I'm officially supporting it. You may still simply link your cars download, but if it's a competitive car there's nothing stopping anybody from downloading it and stealing ideas. You must still fill out an entry form for new cars, just mention that you're sending the car to my email. (my email is my twitch name (seen at the top of the page), at gmail, or to the competitor page.
-Cars built in the open beta are now officially permitted as long as they follow the rules of the series. It's up to you guys to determine which version of the game you'd like to use. It seems like cars cost more to build in the open beta, meaning more restrictions on what you can do to your car, especially in classes with budget constraints. However, the few cars built in the open beta seemed to do very well in Season Zero. I've not done any actual testing with this, so it's up to you guys to determine which is better.
-*NEW SERIES* Over 50% of voters liked the idea of a Street Racing Series. Interest was also shown in 4cyl cars. I figured we can combine the two. Sort of a Tuner Street Racing kind of deal. I'll create a separate area of the forums to discuss the possible rules of the series. It may not be ready in time for Season One, but it looks like there's enough interest that we'll get it up and running before too long.
-I'm planning on having Season One ran on West Coast USA exclusively. The tracks will still be different from each other, just all on the same map. This is not set in stone, but it is what I plan to do.
-*UPDATING CARS PART 1* To update your car for Season One you may either create a new entry or reply to your old one noting any changes. Then just send me an email or post a link to the car download. You may also replace your entry with a brand new car. I'll make a post a few days before Season One with a list of the cars I have and which have been updated. Make sure to check that so you know I received it.
-*UPDATING CARS PART 2* Any car that failed to finish in the top 3 in any single race is REQUIRED to update before competing in Season One. This includes the 72, 22, and 56 in the 8KC, and the 166 and 56 in the LWC. I'll never stop a car from competing, as long as updates are made to try and make the car more competitive. You may also start from scratch with a new car, and have it replace the noncompetitive entry.
Let me know if I've forgotten to address something that folks were concerned about.
If our season 1 car fails, can we replace it for season 2 or do we need to to update the same car?
Quick update, I've added a dropbox upload feature to the competitors page. Please use that if you wish to upload car files privately. Do not use email unless you absolutely have to.
Another thing, don't worry about uploading the .car file anymore. The .zip is all you need to upload.
